Define a Place: Assignment 1

The location we are choosing to film is the Church of St. Vincent Ferrer, which is on Park Avenue  between 66th and 65th. The church is a decent size, and has a lot of really pretty stained glass windows.  There are a bunch of alcoves on the sides of the church, each with some statues and places to kneel to  pray. In all of the church, the alcoves have the best lighting, as the rest of the church is pretty dimly lit.  There are also a bunch of candles, which I think will make for some interesting shots. I’m really excited to film grand sweeping shots of the ceiling and windows, to give the audience a sense of reverence, for lack of better word. This church in particular has a great number of various religious paraphernalia (crosses,  statues, excerpts from the bible, little frescos, etc) and I think that that will make our piece more  interesting, in addition to allowing us to heavily express what the church is all about (worship and  spiritu...
